Maritimer 1758
Without a doubt, my favourite vintage Canadian pencil is the Maritimer 1758 HB manufactured by Eberhard Faber. 1758 was the year that representative government was established in Canada which started in Nova Scotia. Eberhard Faber made a series of these pencils in Canada including the Newfoundlander 1497 HB (1497 was the year of John Cabot's voyage).
Mongol 482
The Mongol was Eberhard Faber's flagship yellow office pencil. It is still being made today in other countries. According to an old package, "The 482 with the rubber tips are made in eight degrees: 2B-very soft, B-soft, HB-medium, F-firm, H-hard, 2H-very hard, 3H-extra hard and 4H-extra hard."
Tomahawk 1274
The Tomahawk was a premium pencil similar to the Mongol.
